Former Patriots Cut by Titans – Pleads Emotionally to Return to Gillette
Foxborough, Massachusetts, August 27, 2025
The former Patriots wide receiver’s journey took a dramatic turn when the Tennessee Titans officially cut him from the 53-man roster on August 25, 2025, citing injury concerns. In a surprising move, the former New England player publicly expressed a heartfelt desire to return to Gillette Stadium and continue contributing to the team he once called home.
Standing at an impressive 6’4” with an ideal frame,he joined the Patriots in August 2024, spending a brief stint on the practice squad. Though he didn’t make a significant impact on the field, he left a mark on fans with his relentless fighting spirit during training camp. After leaving Foxborough, Landers bounced around the NFL, from the Seahawks to the Panthers, Browns, and most recently the Titans, but has yet to play in an official NFL game.

In an emotional social media post, Landers poured his heart out: “The Patriots are more than just a team—they’re where my heart belongs. Every day at Gillette, I dreamed of wearing that jersey, running onto the field, and hearing the roar of the fans. If I’m given one more chance, I swear I’ll give everything to prove I’m worthy. I’ve never stopped loving the Patriots and will never give up on that dream.”
Landers’ words quickly went viral among Patriots Nation, stirring emotions across the fanbase. Many were moved by his sincerity, seeing it as the voice of a player unwilling to let his career fade quietly. Some fans believe that, given the Patriots’ current depth issues at wide receiver, re-signing Landers isn’t entirely out of the question. However, insiders in Foxborough remain cautious. Under head coach Mike Vrabel, the team is focused on youth development, and Landers’ chance may hinge on the injury status of the receiving corps.
Regardless of what the future holds, Landers’ story has struck a chord with fans, evoking the image of a warrior who refuses to give up. Will Gillette open its doors to welcome him back? Only time will tell.
